PROGRAMS: KORINJI ZEN MONASTERY

Shinjinkai is pleased to support The Korinji Foundation, a not-for-profit organization working to establish a Rinzai Zen Buddhist monastery in the upper Midwest region near Madison, Wisconsin.
The Foundation's vision calls for the establishment of Sotekizan Korinzenji ("Korinji" for short), a monastery conducting formal residential training. Additional activities promoted or planned by the Foundation are centered on traditional fine arts and mind-body disciplines, programs addressing the needs of youth, and lectures and events encouraging interfaith exchange and tolerance. Korinji is partnered with Sokeizan Daiyuzenji, a temple already existing on Chicago's north side, and will serve as a rural monastic center complementing Daiyuzenji's urban activities. Moore Sensei, Shinjinkai's Director, serves as President of the Korinji Foundation.
The Foundation needs your help. The future location of Korinji has been located and purchased, and construction has begun. Fundraising now continues to enable development of the property. For more information on Korinji's vision and how you can contribute to its fruition, please go to the Korinji Foundation's website here.
