AIKIDO: M/W/FR 6PM-8PM, THUR 6PM-6:45PM
Dive Right In (Adults 15yrs & UP)
These group classes (adults 15yrs & up) provide the foundation to enter the next level of learning. Classes cover the decisive techniques of Aikido, to include throws, joint locks, strikes and immobilizations, practiced within a context in which weapons (knife, sword, staff and others) are assumed to be present. Visitors and beginners welcome.
AIKIDO FUNDAMENTALS: SAT 11AM-1PM
Hands-On Learning (Adults 15yrs & Up)
Through this course, students have the opportunity to push their skills, techniques and confidence to a new level in a fun, dynamic way. These group classes are designed to allow students a greater understanding and application of the fundamental basics of aikido; covering stance, movement, striking, and weapons. Focusing not solely on application of technique, but of building proper responses in the mind and body.
YOUTH AIKIDO: TUE 6PM-6:45PM,
THUR 5:15PM-6PM, SAT 10:00AM-10:45AM
Growing Together (Youth 6yrs-13yrs)
As one of our most popular offerings, with a curriculum and teaching approach that are energetic, fun -and revolve around three core principles: focus, compassion, and effort- children learn to develop physical, mental, and emotional wellness and fitness, all in a safe and empowering environment.
IAIDO: SUN 6PM-8:30PM, MON 8:15PM-9:30PM
Honing the Basics (Adult 15yrs & Up)
This course has been highly regarded by countless students throughout the years, and has provided the perfect foundation to enter the next level of martial learning. Focusing on both seated & standing forms, students begin with bokken ( wooden sword) and saya (scabbard) advancing to long and short swords, as well as tameshigiri (live cutting).
RINZAI ZEN: TUE/THUR 7PM-9PM
Patient Learning (Adult 15yrs & Up)
Through this course, students have the opportunity to gain recognition of their own true nature, and a mind-body practice to integrate that recognition. Thus manifesting the boundless freedom which comes from that. To practice Zen is to discover what a human being truly is.
TAIJUTSU: WED 8:30PM-10PM,
Skill With The Body (Adult 21yrs & Up)
Why train? If you’re unsure about your level or have questions, you are not alone. Taijutsu's practicality prompts tens of thousands from around the world -many involved in law enforcement and the military -to seek out training. To train ourselves virtuously to become the brighter, kinder, and just person we all know we ought to be.
SEITEI JODO: SUN 3PM-3:45PM
The Staff Explored (Adult 15yrs & Up)
This course focuses on building deep and fundamental martial knowledge through individual and partner practice with the jo (staff). Through 12 basic kata (forms) and twelve techniques, training covers staff vs sword.
NAGINATA: SUN 5PM-5:45PM
Classic learning (Adult 15yrs & Up)
Through this course, students have the opportunity to push their skills, techniques and confidence in a new direction, learning one of the most iconic weapons of Japanese history: the Naginata. Atarashii Naginata is an art that can be enjoyed by men or women, from the youngest preschooler to the oldest senior citizen.
SHINBUKAN KURODA RYUGI:
WED 5PM-5:45PM, SAT 1PM-2:15PM

The Shinbukan Kuroda Dojo was founded by Yahei Masayoshi Kuroda in 1848 to transmit four styles of martial arts inherited by the Kuroda family: Kenjutsu, Jujutsu, Iaijutsu, Bojutsu; together, Together, these comprise the Shinbukan Kuroda Ryu-gi, or style, today led by Headmaster Tetsuzan Kuroda Sensei. Shinjinkai hosts one of only four study groups outside of Japan authorized by Kuroda Sensei.

Members and guests (via Google Meet) who are not comfortable with attending classes on-site, due to the Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions, can still attend classes, and train safely (in a limited capacity) from their homes by utilizing the links below:
Notes from each class will be posted in our members-only forum, we encourage you to log on and discuss them. These classes are open to current members and guests, both adult and youth, (since you are at home) do feel free to train together!
